The Homestead
Location: Amherst, MA
Built in 1804 by Emily Dickinson's grandfather.
Emily Dickinson was born and passed in this home. Emily and her family did live away from the Homestead for a short time; only to return to live for the remainder of their lives.
The evergreen trees were planted by Austin Dickinson, Emily's older brother, his home is next door: Evergreens.
Emily's room the two front windows to the left of the front door which follow the corner and extend to the two windows over the porch roof.
A recluse; perhaps - a poet - for certain.
