The Orchard House
Home of Louisa May Alcott for over 20 years.
Louisa May Alcott (1832 - 1888)
The children's novel "Little Women" (1868) and part II "Good
Wives" (1869) were both written at The Orchard House after Louisa May
Alcott return home after service as a nurse in Washington D.C. during
the end of the Civil War.
The Orchard House was built in 1699 and is located in Concord,
Massachusetts on Lexington Avenue.
